Agency Note: The College of Nursing at the University of Florida was founded
in 1956 under the direction of Dean Dorothy Smith. It is one of the original
colleges in the J. Hillis Miller Health Center.
Contents Note: Series 10a contains administrative records of Dean Dorothy Smith
related to the inception and early history of the College of Nursing at the University
of Florida. The series consists of correspondence, faculty memoranda, and minutes.
The latter include minutes of faculty meetings as well as minutes of the Curriculum
Committee, and the Nursing Policy Board.
